Merrill Lynch Wealth Management said Tuesday that it has appointed Craig Young as national business development executive.
In this new position, Young will report to Andy Sieg, president of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, and will be responsible for designing and carrying out new business development ideas and best practices for serving Merrill’s clients and creating further collaboration between local Merrill leadership and advisors, and across the broader company.
Young will lead programs such as the Advisor Growth Network, Market Executive Strategy Council and the FA Advisory Council to Management, along with internal events and communications related to these organizations, recognition and other important initiatives.
Sieg said in a statement that Young will “work with market leaders and advisors on household acquisition, delivering superior client experiences, and creating greater consistency in how we integrate and deliver growth across the country.”
Prior to this role, Young most recently served as Merrill’s market executive for the Westchester, N.Y.-Greenwich, Conn., market. He joined Merrill Lynch in 2015 as the associate market executive for what is now Merrill Private Wealth Management in Los Angeles, and from 2016 to 2018 served as the market executive for the Pasadena, Calif., market.
