LPL Financial announced Monday the latest addition to its independent advisor channel. Gatewood Wealth Solutions is a St. Louis-based advisory joining from Northwestern Mutual. The team oversees about $550 million in assets under management.
Gatewood Wealth Solutions will be part of LPL’s broker/dealer and corporate registered investment advisor platforms. Through the affiliation, lead advisors Daniel Goeddel, Brian McGeehon, Christina Shockley and Aaron Tuttle received partial ownership of Gatewood Wealth. The firm was founded in 1981 by President John Gatewood.
“We intentionally built the firm to support future generations,” Gatewood said in a statement. “Our team of young business owners helps assure clients that we’re here for the long haul.”
In total, Gatewood Wealth Solutions has 13 team members that provide financial planning, portfolio management and office support to high-net-worth clients such as executives, business owners and affluent families. Once it acclimates to the LPL platform, the firm plans to tap into LPL’s capital and consulting services to grow their practice through acquisitions and advisor recruitment.
