At least one aspiring broker wants retribution after the NASD mistakenly gave him a failing grade on his Series 7 exam last October. Andrew Crabbe, an employee of Lehman Brother's Holdings, is suing the regulator as part of a class-action complaint on behalf of the 1,882 individuals who were told that they had received failing grades on the broker qualification exam when, in fact, they had passed. Crabbe is claiming his annual bonus was cut and his reputation damaged when he received the failing grade. The NASD blamed a computer glitch for generating the erroneous grades.
