In May 2017, Cetera Financial took the first step in updating its tech stack and unifying the disparate technology offerings across its broker/dealers, launching My Advice Architect, a wealth management platform to help advisors match clients with investment products. That included the Advisor Program, a purely advisor-directed solution with a selection of asset types for discretionary and non-discretionary client accounts.
Today, the firm is adding the Advisor II Program, an open-architecture offering that promises low program fees and unbundled ticket charges. Under the new offering, clients pay just $6.95 per transaction for most security types.
Advisor II provides reps with different options for reducing clients’ fees, managing investment risk and improving diversification across asset managers.
“The Advisor II Program in My Advice Architect equips advisors with greater freedom when tailoring a financial plan to client-specific investment preferences and objectives, in line with this advice-centric experience,” said Tim Stinson, head of wealth management at Cetera, in a statement.
My Advice Architect consolidates Cetera’s advisor-driven investment programs into one dashboard. Other programs include the Unified Program, which lets advisors implement advisor-directed models, fund strategist portfolios and separately managed accounts in a single custodial account. The Unified Program provides access to 100 strategists offering 800 mutual funds and ETF strategies, and 700 SMA models from 300 managers.
My Advice Architect also brings in Cetera’s Guided Program, which gives access to third-party model providers, as well as the Advisor and Advisor II Programs.
