Registered Rep. Recognized For Design Excellence

New York - October 30, 2002 PRIMEDIA’s Registered Rep. magazine, the source for investment professionals, was honored at the Folio: Show with an Ozzie Award for Best Redesign in the Business-to-Business category. The Folio: Show, the premiere conference and exposition for the magazine industry that is being held this week in New York, honored the 2002 Ozzie winners at the Celebration for Excellence awards reception and dinner last night.

Under the leadership of Editor-in-Chief David Geracioti, Registered Rep. premiered a significant redesign in January that presented readers with a more relevant and fresh look, including the shortening of the publication’s name from Registered Representative to Registered Rep. The re-engineered magazine opened up and expanded the magazine’s coverage and as a result, content has focused more on the most critical and cutting edge issues faced by today’s investors.

"The reshaping of Registered Rep. has been instrumental in helping achieve a market share increase to 41% year to date through August," said Warren Bimblick, senior vice president and general manager of PRIMEDIA’s Financial Services Group. "Our advertisers have applauded the new look and the revamp."

“We are thrilled to be recognized by our peers in the magazine industry,” said David Geracioti, editor-in-chief of Registered Rep. “A year ago we set about re-inventing Registered Rep. to give the magazine the look and feel—and sophisticated content—that our readers are used to getting in their consumer publications. They have responded enthusiastically to the improved magazine, as have advertisers. Rep. has been gaining market share since the redesign—despite the difficult advertising environment.”
