Salary Range: 90,000 - 95,000 DOE
Bonus & Incentives: Annual discretionary performance bonus.
Position Responsibilities: The primary responsibility for this position is the preparation and timely filing of federal and state individual and fiduciary income tax returns of the highest complexity, including the gathering and analysis of all information needed to complete these returns and to determine the lowest lawful tax burden for the client. The incumbent also prepares other related tax returns and tax information documents, and performs calculations of various tax scenarios to assist the lawyers with strategic tax planning.
Education and Certifications/Licenses: Bachelors, MST Preferred
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in preparation of sophisticated individual and fiduciary income tax returns is required, with a least three (3) to five (5) years direct fiduciary tax experience in a law firm or bank trust department required.
Preferred Qualifications: * Familiarity with computerized tax preparation software systems is required. * Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including management staff and support staff. * Ability to be a proactive, self-starter who understands the details within a much larger context.
Additional Comments: * Will provide specific career development planning for the staff, including practical training programs and initiatives. * Will personally manage some of the more complex private client accounts. * Will be accountable for the overall work performance of the group.
