Joseph Brusuelas is a Senior Economist with Bloomberg Briefs. He specializes in analyzing the US economy and monetary policy.
Mr. Brusuelas has more than 20 years of experience in finance and economics. Prior to joining Bloomberg in May 2010, he was a director at Moody’s Analytics. Earlier in his career, he served as Chief Economist and Strategist at Merk Investments and also was Chief US Economist at IDEAglobal.
He holds a BA and an MA in Political Science from San Diego State University. He is also pursuing a PhD in Political Economy and Public Policy at the University of Southern California.
