About 2,000 people descended upon Chicago this week for Morningstar's annual Investment Conference, including 1,000 advisors, to hear from some of the biggest names in the industry on the state of the economy, investing and the future. 

The conference included keynotes from GMO's Jeremy Grantham, JP Morgan Asset Management's David Kelly, Ellevate Network's Sallie Krawcheck and a special final-day appearance by the folks at PIMCO. 

No one wore sunglasses during the entire conference, as best as we could tell, despite many discussions about Bill Gross' speech last year.
