LPL Financial raked in a two-person team based in Bayonne, N.J. on Tuesday.
Advisors Craig Zaleck and Mark Hogan of Bergen Point Wealth Management moved from Cetera’s network broker/dealer First Allied where they managed $275 million in total assets, according to an announcement. The two-person team joined LPL through the Independent Network of Consultants & Advisors (INC Advisors).
Zaleck and Hogan started out as public accountants and continue to use their tax know-how by offering tax-based strategies in addition to wealth management advice.
The duo credited LPL's technology and financial strength as deciding factors in making the move.
“We believe this new partnership puts us in a better position to assist with client requests and move the practice forward,” Zaleck said. "The industry is evolving quickly and we want to grow with a company that we have confidence in.”
Bergen Point's switch comes amid a busy time in advisor moves. At LPL, Talisman Wealth Advisors, which managed $150 million at Merrill Lynch, launched as a new RIA and chose LPL as its custodian. And LPL and Gladstone Wealth Partners also added Atlanta-based Platinum Wealth Management, which managed $215 million, from UBS.
