I’ll do it. You can start out doing what I did. Making cold calls & lots of them. Your first project is to make as many appointments for me as you can by talking to at least 40 people per day. I ruined the last two interns that said they wanted to learn the business.

  You game?

andrew carnagie… sorry i left the i out i have a wireless keyboard and i type fast so there tends to be problems.  and this isnt an english class you tool and i am not trying to impress you, so ill go ahead and type however i want you grammar nazi.  is it safe to assume that you are actually a low life english teacher who thinks hes some big time stock broker?

you must hate your life if you have nothing better to do then to talk sh*t on a forum, on top of that you really must hate your life if you feel the need to act as an english teacher on a forum.

do not think that i have never had to go through what you guys have went through.  i made 1000’s of cold calls, ive spoken to 1000’s of people to obtain business, went to numerous seminars, walked door to door. ive pulled out a phone book and went down the whole entire list of names and numbers while cold calling… have you ever done that?

and when people have asked me for help, i sure as hell never punched them in the face and said “im a professional, you want my help then you must pay me.”  i helped them out the best i could.

you are one pissed off and cruel person i think you should get some help, or you’ll never find happiness in life.

You’re still here?

“do not think that i have never had to go through what you guys have went through.”

There's actually a crucial difference.     It's not about calling people or having seminars or going door to door or pulling out a phone book all the while not having English or spelling skills, but having a positive attitude.  It's about turning people into clients and having a profitable business.  That is where we have succeeded and you are a tool who has failed.

When they asked if they could work with me I would ask if they really wanted to know how to start off in this business. They would happily say yes yes. So I started them cold calling. None lasted. I think a lot of people think you get your series 7 and the phone just starts ringing. Younger people seem to think they simply deserve it. IMHO

ha ha … There are some self-righteous mother fckrs posting on this thread. “Time is money” get the hell out of here. There are 100 pages of crap dedicated to outing Windy. Professional my ass!

Bash the guy, whatever, but don’t act like he is wasting your time posting in the “rookie” forum so a bunch of vets can ride him for “wasting their time”. Ya’ll are classic!

Bro … You are not wasting my time. Post away asking for stupid advice!

Sep 7, 2009 4:04 pm

He’s not wasting my time… he’s wasting his.

And if you want to associate with an idiot who thinks he is “good at trading stocks”, go for it volt. The guy is a moron. My first response was to tell him he was in the wrong place. He then proceeded to be stupid.

j.wehman,

I offered and you never answered. Not very dedicated to this notion are you.

I’m not sticking up the guy, he’s a non-issue for me.  It’s some of the responses that amuse me.

While not an English class, English just happens to be the primary language of most of our clients, so we try to speak it.   And...professionals get paid to do their work. That's the definition of "professional". You want advice? Go hire a professional or stop being a piker and do the work to become one.   I would take Gaddock's offer, that's the closest you're going to get to "something for nothing".

Three things:
1. j.wehman clearly doesn’t know what he is doing yet.
2. I can’t think of a better place for him to ask his stupid questions.
3. Andrew Carnegie hired goons to shoot people who wanted raises…good role model.

Some people want their kids to look at Obama as a role-model.   How many people have died in his wars so far this year?

Carnegie made his first million as a buyer for the railroads...he created a shell company in his mother's name and bought all the railroad bridges from her. He also killed a few of his employees who wanted raises...

I'm thinking about creating a bumper-sticker that reads "Obama lied, they continue to die" and selling it

Because the POTUS changes, the mission and views on the war change? Afghanistan/Pakistan border region is one of the most volatile regions in the world.  Little girls can't even go to school without worry of being killed and we should leave immediately? Iraq, on the other hand, I don't know what we're still doing there.  The Iraq that I was in is completely different that what it is now.
