Current Customer Prospecting

Hi Guys!
I can't disclose too much, but what if you're working with a firm where you are contacting current clients and offering expanding their portfolios? What should I do to be successful?
* How many calls should I make on a daily basis (work from 8am-9pm in all time zones) without reasonably killing myself.
* Tactics for emailing.
* Should I be involved in community volunteering or what specific kind of social groups?
* What questions should I be asking to current clients?
* What are some great ice breakers to build rapport and trust without sounding creepy?
:D

As many as you possibly can. Kill yourself. Pick yourself up off the floor at the end of the day. Start again the next day.
Tactics for emailing.
Send emails. Do distribution lists. Send emails on Saturdays (a la 500 day war). Send emails on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Send different emails to different prospects on different things that interest them.
Should I be involved in community volunteering or what specific kind of social groups?
Do you believe in an organization? Do you like to be social? Then do it. If you are an antisocial dispassionate person who isn’t cause oriented, don’t. But remember - there is a fine line between networking and NOT WORKING.
What questions should I be asking to current clients?
Are you satisfied with the results? Service? Costs? Would you like another one of my cards so you can share it with one of your friends?

This is a creepy question, dude. Hi, I’m Indi - What do you do?
This gets people talking about their favorite subject. Themselves. When they seem done, ask another question about themselves. Keep them talking about themselves. When the conversation is over, they will think you are a great conversationalist and ask for your card.
