Has anyone had success calling corporate(company) directories? Just got a couple of lists from some clients but not sure how to go about calling them. But it does give me people to call during the day.

Try setting up a seminar for employees of the company.  Sounds better than calling on some meaningless product while at work.  Plus, you can make it sound more like a “benefit” than a cold call.

Any suggestions on how to do that?

Maybe I don’t understand what you’re asking.  Have you ever set up a seminar before?  Call a place (hotel, restaurant, library, etc.) to book a room.  Decide on food and topic.  Start calling people in the company to invite them to the seminar.

Alternatively, try to get in touch with someone in the benefits department and ask them if you could run some employee education seminars on financial planning topics in-house.  That's a huge win if you can pull it off.

Not really.  He is looking for the IT decision makers.  We are looking for individual investors (not looking to make the company a client, but the employees of the company).  For his purpose, he should maybe try Jigsaw.  I think you can do targeted searches for certain functions.  But why doesn’t he just call the company and ask for the IT decision maker?

His typical clients are small to midsize law firms and CPAs.  Personally, I don't see why he would need any sort of lead service, since these firms are in the yellow pages.

Buy an ad pal… or give more info, such as how it is working in this enviroment when people get fired left and right… Do people actually answer the phone?  How old are your lists?

Thanks… I just hate when people come on here and  post an ad with no reference what so ever…

I have used him… He is reliable…Of course I am in that category that never called the list after I bought it…
