Background Check

Bull - a simple answer and you have indicated you have not gone to that country since Your Failure To Appear in court. If you do arrive in the country and are stopped for ie. traffic violation. Be prepared for a possible delay in your travel plans. You were in most probability Found Guilty In Absentia.
To be safe , make a call to your solicitor , the few dollars invested may be well spent.BTW Bull - hope it was not France? If so - you are presumed guilty until proven innocent. Not even close to British Criminal or Civil Law.
I should’ve been more specific:
I'm getting a back ground check for a job i just accepted selling securities. Will the wirehouse see it?See my post REF. spend a few dollars and check with your solicitor ( lawyer ) for a Legal Opinion. Not your opinion , my opinion just to establish what may or may not be a problem now or in the future.
My point Ice … Spend a few bucks get a Legal Opinion not only for this situation but for future situations. Bull don’t accept legal advice on the cheap or what you think you know.
It was pre EU, but i have been back to other countries since EU with no problems.
I could care less about possible vacations at this point. I just don't want to lose the job before my first day! I'm calling an attorney now.Best response to the matter. More than just an application to a job may be at stake.
Bullshitinachinashop might be the founder of NAMBLA. Not only is he the founder, he's a member! You didn’t have sex with a minor, did you?
Bull,
In all seriousness, I've known a few branch managers to take a guy out and beat him, possibly kill him, for less. I'd highly recommend wearing a bulletproof vest your first week or two in the office. Wear it under your suit as to not tip the manager off.Bull - here is a No Charge observation from RRDLAWYER. Just be sure of the facts in your specific case.
Does anyone know where to get a background check for Amsterdam, Netherlands?
I found one site, but they charge $190?![quote=bullinachinashop]

Bull - Let’s be specific:
1) Were you Arrested and Charged by the Police? 2) Were you taken before a Court Official - ie. Judge , Magistrate or Justice Of the Peace? 3) Were you issued a Document ie. Promise To Appear? 4) Were you given a date to appear befor the Courts? 5) Was this a Criminal Charge versus a Municpal By-Law ie. Litttering? If you have answered yes to the above , you do have some Criminal issues that have not been resolved. If a By-Law ie. littering usually enforced only within the municipal juristication. Hope this simplifies?I was arrested and stayed overnight. The next morning i signed some documents and they let me out without having to pay bail. It was criminal and they set a court date for 3 months in the future. I was never taken in front of a court or judge.
