I'm a senior in college and I was wondering how much more likely is it for me to get hired if I get a series 65 license?
It definitely wouldn't hurt you, although most firms won't expect you to have it and will pay for the training for you to get it once you land an offer. In my opinion, I wouldn't spend your money on it now unless you don't think you will be competitive enough without it. Also depends where you are wanting to interview.

The test is $300+ and prep materials are very expensive, although they are some free places to get notes such as https://www.freeseries7studyguide.com
Yes, I completely agree with you, we can find most of the firms will pay for the training.
Completely agree with you Betty. There are a number of firms who pay for training.
Yes, since very few people take the 65 while in school. It would look good on a resume.
You should consider the new SIE exam (Securities Industry Essentials) as well, since you are considering the 65. The SIE is a prerequisite to the new 6 or 7 top-off exams (as of Oct 2018). The SIE, like the 65 and 66, does not require you to have a sponsor
The SIE would look good but the 65 would look better on a resume. With that said, if a person plans to work in a position that requires the series 6 or series 7, taking the SIE now would be a good idea.
