2019 was a good year for the Western Asset Total Return ETF (WBND), especially compared to 2018, said Mark Lindbloom, portfolio manager at Western Asset Management Company, at the 2020 Inside ETFs conference.
"We're quite pleased," he said. "After a rough 2018, 2019 was a very, very good year for the ETF."
He said the ETF, which has more than $101 million in assets, serves as a good buffer in case of stock market volatility, which as become especially relevant given the state of the markets dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.
