Regulatory Changes Affect Life Insurance Professionals

New York’s new law is the most stringent.

The biggest news for 2019 was on the regulatory front. Of lesser note were the final Treasury regulations on life insurance reporting and excluded death benefit and how the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) may look at using genetic information in life underwriting.
