FSI Launches New Social Networks

FSI is getting into the social networking business, rolling out new social tools for executives of broker/dealers and advisors on Tuesday.

With the new social network, FSI Social, members can build profiles and participate in online forums.  “FSI Social will provide a secure virtual environment for our members to collaborate, share best practices and continue to improve compliance throughout the industry,” says FSI’s president & CEO Dale Brown.

The advisor social network, separate from the one for executives, is equipped with firewalls, so recruiters and others will not be able to access and advertise, keeping it a “safe haven” for advisors looking to connect and seek advice, says FSI’s spokesman Chris Paulitz. The industry group also rolled out a new website, as well as new infographics and videos for their members. “And our new tools – which most advisors could never afford to develop on their own – will help them grow their businesses,” Brown says. FSI is also cooking up new app, which will allow users to access the organization’s news feed, information and client handouts.
