Envestnet today launched the Envestnet Institute, an online portal that aims to partner with asset management firms to become a one-stop shop for independent advisors to get industry information, find practice management tips and advice on how to run their business and take accreditation courses for the leading industry designations. And it won’t cost advisors anything.
The launch was announced during Envestnet’s advisor summit in Chicago. The site was slated to go live Wednesday afternoon and will be open to all financial advisors.
“Envestnet Institute reinforces Envestnet’s mission to act as an advocate for independent advisors,” Zachary Karabell, head of global strategy for Envestnet, said in a statement. “Financial advisors can access materials from multiple prominent firms that can help them improve service to clients and maintain professional accreditations.”
In addition to original material provided by Envestnet, the portal will include material from asset management firms like Vanguard, Putnam Investments, Russell Investments and Brinker Capital, among others. Many asset management firms have created side programs to help independent advisors with practice management and professional development.
“We will continue to seek new opportunities to expand our offerings by adding new content partners that provide cutting-edge educational and other actionable materials,” Ron Fiske, managing director of events and education for Envestnet, said in a statement.
