As banking lobbyists pound Congress in last minute efforts to defang regulatory reform legislation, it's worth noting (one more time) that the revolving door between financial services lobbying groups and federal agencies spins at a dizzying pace. According to a recent report from Public Citizen and the Center for Responsive Politics, at least 1,447 former federal employees have been hired by financial services firms as lobbyists since the beginning of 2009, says Opensecrets.org.
