Ron Brown

Ron Brown has served as Director of Gift Planning at four leading charities: Princeton University, United Way of America, the National Wildlife Federation, and from January 2012 to the present, Fordham University. He is currently a Board member and chair of the Research Committee for the American Council on Gift Annuities, and principal author of the 2013 Survey of Charitable Gift Annuities. He is a member of the ACGA Rates Committee and a board member of the Philanthropic Planning Group of Greater New York.

 

Ron is the founder and writer of Gift Planning History.org, “writing the history of gift planning.” He wrote a chapter on family philanthropy in From Donor to Philanthropist: The Value of Donor Education in Creating Confident, Joyful Givers (CASE: 2013) and numerous articles on gift planning. He is a frequent speaker at professional conferences. 

 

The American Council on Gift Annuities (ACGA) was formed in 1927, to actively promote responsible philanthropy through actuarially sound charitable gift annuity rate recommendations, quality training opportunities and the advocacy of appropriate consumer protection.
