Robert Desax

Robert Desax joined Baker & McKenzie Zurich at the beginning of 2011. He graduated from the University of Fribourg, Faculty of Law, in 2002 and passed the Zurich bar exam in 2005. In 2006, he obtained an LL.M. degree in international tax law from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. From 2006 to 2010, Mr. Desax worked in the international tax department of one of the Big Four audit firms. In 2010, he earned the diploma as a Swiss certified tax expert. He speaks French, German and English.
Practice Focus
Mr. Desax advises corporations and private clients. He practices in the areas of national and international taxation, specializing in international corporate taxation, double tax treaties, tax aspects of wealth management as well as tax controversy. He frequently represents clients before Swiss authorities, especially in transfer pricing audits and regarding cross-border restructurings.
