Rachel J. Harris
Rachel J. Harris is a partner in the Trusts and Estates department and the head of the International Trust, Estate, and Taxation Practice Group in Los Angeles. She counsels clients in connection with all aspects of domestic and international estate planning for individuals and families, trust and estate administration, charitable giving, and operation of tax-exempt organizations. Her practice extends to all facets of estate and gift-tax planning, and encompasses muti-jurisdictional and international matters. Rachel also assists clients with regard to their charitable objectives, and has expertise in creating and administrating private foundations.
Prior to joining Loeb & Loeb LLP, Rachel was an associate in the New York office of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. While there, she was part of the team representing Edith Windsor in her successful lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act. In 2007, Rachel also spent time as a visiting solicitor in the Private Client department of Macfarlanes LLP in London.
She was named the International Who’s Who of Private Client Lawyers by Who’s Who Legal in 2013 and also received recognition from Citywealth’s “Leader List” that same year.
