Margaret Borrasso

Margaret Borrasso is the Associate Director of Bernstein’s Endowment & Foundation Advisory Services team. She focuses on fundraising strategy, donor education and engagement, nonprofit and foundation operational and organizational best practices, and board governance and fiduciary tools as key components of nonprofit and foundation overall financial health and wellness. Margaret partners with financial advisors across the country to provide comprehensive wealth management solutions for nonprofits, foundations, and other tax-exempt entities. She joined the firm in Chicago in 2013 as senior managing associate. After serving as a national subject matter expert on the Philanthropy Services team, she left the firm in late 2016 to pursue a career in the nonprofit sector. After two years as the director of development at Chicago’s Midtown Educational Foundation (MEF), Margaret returned to Bernstein in 2019. She now leads initiatives focused on tailoring Bernstein’s services to even better support the firm’s tax-exempt clients in their pursuit of mission fulfillment. Margaret earned her BA in finance, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame and currently serves as a Chair of MEF’s Metro Advancement Council. Location: Chicago.
