The Wealth Advisor Institute, a new trade group for advisors who cater to the wealthy, opened its doors in Washington, D.C., on June 6. The Institute, which defines the wealthy as those with a net worth of $1 million or more, hopes to sign up 30,000 members, including insurance agents, financial advisors, registered representatives, attorneys and accountants, within its first three years. David Grau, CEO of Business Transitions, is president of the new institute.
