UBS AG appointed Jeff Bischoff as head of Private Wealth Management Recruiting at UBS Wealth Management. Bischoff joins the firm from Smith Barney where he served as national recruiting officer and focused on the ultra-high-net-worth market.
Frances Aldrich Sevilla-Sacasa will become president of Bank of America's new Private Wealth Management unit once the bank has completed its acquisition of U.S. Trust later this year. Sevilla-Sacasa currently serves as chief executive officer of U.S. Trust, where she recently replaced Peter Scaturro.
The Hartford Financial Services Group promoted Kevin Kirk to vice president and director of national sales for its Retirement Plans Group. Kirk now assumes responsibility for overseeing sales of 403(b) and 457 plans, in addition to 401(k) plans.
Morgan Stanley hired eight advisors away from Smith Barney. The group includes Sam Rine, Roy Savarick and Steve Shapiro, who joined the firm's Boca Raton, Fla., office with about $280 million in combined assets under management.
