Merrill Lynch PMD Terminology
Could anyone clarify what the hurdles are? I have the PMD packet but am not familiar with the terminology. What are PCs?

PC = Production credit. It is the portion of the commission that is eligible for compensation. The commission in its entirety is called revenue. So, if a mutual fund pays 5% commission that 5% would be the revenue. 4.5% may be considered the PC and would run through the grid. The numbers are just an example.
The hurdles depend on the salary band. There are now two bands: below $50K and above $50K. It's too much info to post but the important thing is that the hurdles in the higher band are considerably higher therefore your chances of survival are lower.
