Retirement Savings Options for Independent Advisors

Question -
If I am registered as in independent advisor and receiving 1099 income from fee-based investment accounts, but am also a corporate employee of the BD in which I am affiliated with, receive w2 income, and am covered by a corporate retirement plan, can I open a SEP IRA with my 1099 income? Is that the best option, are there others?
Thanks

Yes - you’re limited to the SEP 46K though. SEP and 401K can not exceed the 46K. Or whatever the number is.
