LPL Financial has added a Crownsville, Md.-based team managing $225 million in client assets from Wells Fargo Financial Advisors Network, the bank’s independent brokerage unit. CenterPoint Wealth Advisors is located just outside of Annapolis, Md., and includes Managing Partners Glenn Drake and John Kinzer.

Kinzer said the team liked how LPL’s technology was designed for both advisors and clients, and that the firm sells no proprietary products or investment banking products.

“LPL’s philosophy is in sync with our own, which is to provide independent, objective financial advice,” Drake said. “We believe this move to LPL will allow us to run our business more effectively and serve our clients better.”

The teams serves affluent families, executives and small business owners.
