LPL Financial said it has recruited San Diego-based advisors Scott Dudley and David McQuade, with $200 million in client assets, from Northwestern Mutual, after 25 years with the firm.

The advisors have joined Financial Advocates, one of LPL’s largest offices of supervisory jurisdiction, based in Washington, and launched their own brand, Stirling Financial Group.

Dudley said the advisors were attracted to LPL for its lower-cost investment strategies and integrated technology platform.

“Some tasks that once took 10 to15 minutes now take only 2 minutes,” Dudley said in a statement. “The online account portal and client statements are greatly improved and create an enhanced experience for our clients. We also benefit from an extra layer of compliance support and concierge service from Financial Advocates.”
