Confident in a national vaccination program and robust hygiene protocols, the wealth management industry is plowing ahead with in-person conferences in 2021. While 2020 may have been the year of the virtual conference, event planners are eagerly planning a return to in-person networking, workshops and the awkward live demos that many advisors have missed over the past few months.

  • Orion will be holding an in-person conference, called Ascent 2021, for “flagship users.” The conference will be held in Scottsdale, Ariz., at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Hotel, from August 30 to September 2, later this year. The event will include a virtual experience for those interested but opting out of physically attending.

  • Riskalyze is holding its 2021 Fearless Investing Summit in-person in Palm Springs, Calif., from September 29 to October 1. The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells, in Coachella Valley. Event planners are confident that a combination of testing and safety protocols, combined with the national coronavirus vaccination program, will allow the event to be held safely.

  • Carson Group is holding its 2021 Excell conference in Las Vegas as an in-person event, with the option to attend virtually. The annual conference will be held at The Cosmopolitan from October 12 to 14, after it was postponed last year.
