Financial advisors are in a good position to know about credit card hacks that reap rewards such as cash back, airline points, hotel stays or other perks, and even earn cryptocurrency.

These are pros who spend much of the day thinking about squeezing the most benefit out of each investment—and charge cards that have an annual fee are certainly an investment. We asked eight financial advisors to reveal what’s in their wallet and how they squeeze the most benefit out of a particular charge card. Every advisor offers this warning: Credit card life hacks are effective only if you pay the balance in full each month; paying interest on revolving charges nullifies even the most impressive rewards.
