Independent broker/dealer Triad Advisors, which was recently acquired by Advisor Group, has poached Brian Shulstad, previously a senior recruiting executive at LPL Financial, as its new senior vice president of business development.

Shulstad, who was most recently a vice president of business development at LPL Financial, will be responsible for building relationships with potential advisor recruits across the country, as well as working with Triad’s existing advisors on branch expansion and strategic acquisitions.

The news follows Advisor Group’s announcement last month that it hired Greg Cornick, former executive vice president, treasurer and head of corporate development and advisor financial solutions at LPL, as its new president of advice and wealth management.
