Kalbaugh will stay on to help with the transition, and LPL will conduct an external search to find a replacement. He’s currently responsible for the growth, satisfaction and retention of LPL advisors.

He joined LPL in July 2007 as executive vice president of business consulting for independent advisor services, when LPL acquired Mutual Service Corporation.

“The timing is never perfect for retirement, but I’m content knowing the firm is in good hands, and in great shape to grow and prosper moving forward,” Kalbaugh said in a statement.
