Turnkey asset management platform EQIS Holding has hired Bob Herrmann, former CEO of Discovery Data, as its new chief executive officer. He takes over the duties from Joseph Hunter, who was hired in 2017 as president and CEO. Hunter will continue to serve as president and add the role of chief operating officer.

Herrmann spent the past 10 years at Discovery Data, which provides data and analytics on financial advisory and insurance firms. He also served as CEO of Loring Ward, another turnkey asset management platform, as well as on the boards at other TAMPs and tech companies in the industry.

Herrmann joins other recent hires, including Matt Straut, the new chief distribution officer. Doug Trott, founder of PriceMetrix and former partner at McKinsey & Company, recently joined the board of directors.
