Citing “disagreements in business management,” Dr. Carolyn McClanahan announced on Twitter she is parting ways with Whealthcare Planning.

McClanahan helped found the software company, which first launched a version of its age-related decision-making modules three years ago. The firm won a WealthManagement.comIndustry Award last year and McClanahan made WealthManagement.com’s “Ten to Watch” list for 2020.

McClanahan will continue to run her own financial planning firm, Life Planning Partners, and plans to take a more active role in writing and speaking about health care reform.

“With the upcoming election, it is important for the public to understand policies of our candidates and pending legislation,” she wrote. She declined to comment beyond her social media post.

"I will have a statement at a future date," said Whealthcare Planning co-founder Dr. Chris Heye, when asked for comment.

As a former emergency room physician, McClanahan still maintains her medical license and plans to continue her consulting roles, including her work on CNBC’s advisory council. She is scheduled to speak at TD Ameritrade’s upcoming National LINC 2020 conference next week.
