Rents on apartments and single-family homes may be going up everywhere, but even at the very top of the market, there is quite a difference between the going rate in New York or California and, say, in Wyoming. To get a sense of how far your money will go (or how much your property will net you) throughout the country, researchers from apartment search website RENTCafe put together a list of the most expensive rental units available in every state as of mid-April.
