UBS Private Wealth Management has recruited a six-person team that managed approximately $2 billion in client assets for Bernstein Private Wealth Management in Tampa, Fla.
Five advisors are joining UBS, including Jay Degeare, Matthew Gordon, Chase Williams, Joseph Jin and David Ochotorena. Brooke Banning, team associate, also joined, according to the company announcement.
Gregory Kadet, greater Florida market head at UBS Wealth Management USA, said the team works “strategically with the most affluent individuals, families and businesses in the Southeast and internationally.”
The team provides portfolio and investment strategies, retirement planning, estate planning and philanthropy.
UBS also lost an advisor this week, with Klaudia Conradt exiting the wirehouse to join Commonwealth Financial Network. Conradt, who brought over $132 million in client assets, operates under an affiliate firm Conestoga Wealth Partners in Gig Harbor, Wash.
“I’m thrilled to finally be able to customize my technology stack,” she said in a statement.
“Breaking away from a household name to build your business your way is a bold move—one that we honor with our commitment to do whatever it takes to help them seamlessly launch their new venture,” said Andrew Daniels, Commonwealth’s managing principal of business development, in a statement.
