A speaker familiar to many who follow the advisor conference circuit will be trading TD Ameritrade green for Envestnet blue.
Dani Fava is joining Envestnet as head of strategic development, according to an announcement from Envestnet. It’s a new role at the firm and will allow Fava to tie together business, product and client-facing initiatives.
Fava, the former director of institutional innovation at TD Ameritrade Institutional, will report to another new hire at Envestnet, Rich Aneser, who is group head of strategy and is responsible for running the firm’s Strategy Office. The division functions as a sort of interstitial entity within the firm, while weighing in on external partnership and inorganic M&A, according to Envestnet.
"Dani and the other members of our Strategy Office will work closely with teams across our organization to respond proactively to industry trends, and ensure the needs of advisors and their clients continue to drive the financial wellness network we are building,” CEO Bill Crager said in a statement.
The close ties between Envestnet and TDAI helped Fava feel comfortable with the move, Fava said. "I have been able to get to know Envestnet's unified technology platform through our deep integrations over the years. ... [I] look forward to working with the other members of the Envestnet team to make sure our entire organization remains at the forefront of innovation."
