The turnover at TD Ameritrade continues, as Charles Schwab works out the details of its acquisition of the company. This time it’s on the retail brokerage side, with Scott Belous, managing director of the digital client experience, joining LPL Financial as its executive vice president of end user experience.
The news follows some prominent departures from TD Ameritrade Institutional, the company’s RIA custody business. Most recently, Skip Schweiss, managing director, retirement plan services and advisor advocacy at TDAI, departed the firm. Last month, Dani Fava, former director of institutional innovation at TDAI, left to become head of strategic development at Envestnet.
In his new role, Belous will lead the team developing new products and services that will improve the client experience. He’ll report to Burt White, LPL chief investment officer and managing director of investor and investment solutions.
“Scott is a proven leader with more than 25 years of experience delivering transformative digital solutions at scale for major financial corporations. We are excited to welcome him to LPL in a role that is the first of its kind for the firm,” White said in a statement.
Prior to joining TD, Belous was head of global consumer digital experience at Citi.
