It's a little like religion, investing theory, since there seems to be plenty of data to mine to prove your beliefs. But, interestingly, Lipper, via Investor's Business Daily (one of the best paper's in the country), says that over the past 10-years through April, small-cap value funds have handily outperformed various other strategies, returning a spectacular 9.54%. The S&P 500 was flat. Of course, the returns of all fund indexes have been goosed by the rally that began last early March.
