Kestra has added a team of five advisors in Zanesville, Ohio, to its Private Wealth Services division. Attain Wealth Partners joins from Merrill Lynch, where they managed $500 million in client assets.
The firm was co-founded by Shakir Kaka and David Weinberg and includes wealth advisors Bridget Tetak, Ross Weinberg, Sierra Brown and Nazneen Kaka, as well as administrative partner Anissa Judd. It will use Fidelity for custody.
“When going independent, our primary focus was to join a firm that understands our financial goals and holds the highest standards of client service, allowing us to focus on what matters most—our clients,” Kaka said in a statement.
Attain Wealth Partners provides portfolio management, retirement strategies, risk management and estate strategies for ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
Kestra launched its Private Wealth Services division in 2010 to help wirehouse and W-2 advisors go independent. The division provides office logistics assistance, consultative compliance support, a comprehensive platform, a transition plan and daily management support. The firm has since helped more than 125 financial advisors and more than 50 offices across the country.
