Clooney walked down the aisle in a $5,000 custom-made Georgio Armani suit, while his bride wore a $380,000 custom-made Alexander McQueen gown. Security was top notch—Clooney reportedly gifted guests special camera-less phones so they couldn’t send photos and provided them with cameras featuring a digital signature so anyone who tried to leak photos could be traced. Sounds like a fun guy.
Folarin Alakija and Nazanin Jafarian Ghaissarifar

The groom, Alakija, who’s the son of Folorunso Alakija, vice chair of Nigerian oil company Famfa Oil and one of the richest black women in the world—with a net worth over $1.68 billion according to Forbes—wed Iranian-born model Nazanin Jafarian Ghaissarifar. Needless to say, no expense was spared—the lavish ceremony at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, England featured 1 million roses and a performance by Robin Thicke.
Aleksey Shapovalov and Ksenia Tsaritsina

Russian oligarch Shapovalov wed his model bride in a multi-million-dollar wedding which featured a cake suspended in midair and acrobats. Though the exact price tag of the wedding isn’t publicly known, it’s safe to say they likely took the cake for the most extravagant wedding of 2017—Tsaritsina’s 70-carat engagement ring alone is worth an estimated $8 million.
Gaspar Avdolyan and Lolita Osmanova
Cost: $10 million
The couple made headlines last year when they chose Dolby Theatre (home of the Oscars) in Los Angeles as their venue. But that’s what happens when the spawn of two Russian oligarchs wed. Osmanova is the daughter of energy tycoon Eldar Osmanov and her now husband is the son of Albert Avdolyan, a Russian telecommunications magnate.
Huang Xiaoming and Angela Yeung (Angelababy)

The “Kim Kardashian of China,” socialite Angela Yeung upstaged the American reality star with a $31 million ceremony. Yeung wed actor Xiaoming in a custom Dior gown at Shangai Exhibition Center. Wedding attendees reportedly received gift bags that included a mobile phone.
