Robinhood continues to target the pricing models and features of retail brokerages with its announcement, introducing extended trading hours on the free version of its mobile app. The trading platform, which Co-CEO Vlad Tenev said had over four million accounts earlier this summer, will now be open for all users from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET. The company noted that all investors on its platform could now take advantage of market movements around earnings announcements and activities in foreign markets that could impact holdings.

The feature was previously available only to Robinhood Gold customers, a group who still have access to features like margin trading and increased availability of deposited funds by paying a tiered monthly fee.

“Bringing extended market hours to everyone drastically improves the core Robinhood experience,” the company said in a statement.
