AssetMark is refreshing its online and mobile-friendly Investor Portal, along with the launch of an online investment and planning experience, WealthBuilder, according to the company. Both features are designed to make goal-based investing easier for advisors and investors.

WealthBuilder should help advisors better address client goals, rather than focusing purely on portfolio performance, according to AssetMark. After establishing objectives in a client meeting, for example, clients are able to access and track their stated goals in the portal, along with viewing information on transaction histories.

It’s a complementary approach to wealth management, said Matt Matrisian, the firm’s SVP of strategic initiatives; one that AssetMark hopes will meet consumer demand for multifacted financial advice. WealthBuilder facilitates advisor-client conversations, while Investor Portal provides the tracking tools.

WealthBuilder provides “consistently monitored” global investment solutions, across core market exchange traded and actively managed mutual funds. AssetMark had $47.5 billion in assets on its platform as of this September.
