Dozens of technology leaders from more than 50 firms joined editors and reporters from WealthManagement.com at a technology roundtable event in New York on Sept. 13. This was held in conjunction with the Fourth Annual Wealth Management Industry Awards.

Participants discussed a range of technology topics and themes from how client experience is evolving, and the technologies shaping and influencing these changes to how artificial intelligence technologies are affecting business models.

While most participants saw a great deal of progress in recent years, there was agreement that various thorny issues would continue to challenge the industry: cybersecurity, integration, lack of data standards and the many threats posed by consumers embracing the Internet of Things.
