Dave Nadig, known for building the ETF data and analytics platform ETF.com, has left the company to join ETF Trends and ETF Database as chief investment officer and director of research.

Most recently he was a managing director at ETF.com, which he helped build for the last decade. He’s also previously served as director of ETFs at FactSet Research Systems and managing director at Barclays Global Investors. He’s a co-founder of Cerulli Associates, where he conducted some of the earliest research on fee-only advisors and indexing.

At ETF Trends and ETF Database, both owned by ETF Flows, he’ll be responsible for research, content and survey work for both sites.

"ETFs have been a transformative technology for all classes of investors," Nadig said in a statement. "The pace of change isn't slowing down. The efficiency of ETFs has been a catalyst for changes throughout the ecosystem, from free trading to the rise of robo advisors. I'm looking forward to helping grow something equally transformative at ETF Trends and ETF Database."
