As every American is well aware, we’re living in tumultuous times. Due to the recent onslaught of the COVID-19 virus, and in an effort to minimize its spread, federal and state governments, joined by experts in the medical field, have strongly encouraged individuals not to leave their homes except when absolutely necessary and, when they’re outside their homes, to don face masks and engage in “social distancing” (a term previously unheard of until just a few months ago). Public gatherings of more than a very small number of people have been forbidden by many state officials from coast to coast. Business and other entities have been severely restricted in terms of how they conduct their operations.
This “new normal” is decidedly unpleasant...
