On June 6-9, 2019, Source Financial Advisors is hosting its inaugural Client Summit in the beautiful Puglia region of Italy. Diana Bianchi, a Source client, will be joining Michelle in welcoming Source’s female clients (some bringing daughters) to her Condé Nast Traveler 2018 Hot List awarded Castello di Ugento for three days of curated Italian food and cultural experiences. According to Michelle, “Instead of golf events or cigar bars, my female clients really appreciate traveling as a group to an exotic location and bonding over the local culture, hiking, cooking classes and long meals. I’ve had a tremendously positive response to this event.”

Some of life’s best conversations happen over a cup of coffee in the comfort of our own homes. This spirit inspired Caroline Wetzel to create “Coffee with Caroline,” an e-newsletter. Shortly after launch, loyal women readers told Caroline they had busy friends who would benefit from conversations with her about their finances. In response, she launched “Coffee Breaks with Caroline.” They take place in readers’ homes at times that work for the host and her friends. Caroline brings the coffee and content, and women bring their questions around finance.

Summit Trail, a registered investment advisory, hosted its first women’s event in New York last week. As a networked family office, the firm has built a diverse and impressive network of women who are not only smart and successful also but friendly, engaging and inclusive. To thank them for their support, the firm partnered with MM LaFleur, the luxury apparel designer for professional women, to host the event at their Bryant Park showroom. The event was aimed at creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere that encouraged everyone to mingle and make new contacts. Guests had the ability to pick up some pieces to wear to work from MM’s spring collection while also enjoying a cocktail.

Dynasty Financial Partners hosted a two-day event in May called Dynasty Days: Women’s Initiative in New York. Over 40 women attended, and it was inspiring and moving to hear women share stories about their salary negotiations, juggling complex family issues and finding their voice to advocate for themselves. The women in attendance all worked in wealth management and ran the gamut from interns and women in their first jobs to senior financial advisors and business executives. The response was so enthusiastic that Dynasty is now considering an array of events for women, including regional events, an online forum and an annual two-day event.
