The Barron’s Advisor podcast offers a wealth of knowledge for financial advisors. Hosted alternatively by Greg Bartalos and Steve Sanduski, this show serves as a platform for industry experts and top advisors to share their knowledge. Bartalos, who took over from Jack Otter, is more focused on finance industry professionals, while Sanduski interacts with nonindustry folks and uses their insights to relate to financial advisors. This makes it tailored for financial advising success, and I highly recommend it.

As a financial advisor, I understand that our clients’ success is often less about wealth management strategy and more about client behavior and their adherence to the strategy. I recommend The Behavioral Wealth Podcast because hearing Dan Pallesen, who has a doctorate in psychology and is a CFP, merge his experience in both fields has offered me practical insights and applications to better help my clients holistically.

For advisors, reading the financial section of their newspaper is a glorious morning routine. I personally prefer to listen to a digested analysis of what’s happening to keep abreast of financial market analysis. I listen to the daily BNP Paribas Wealth Management podcast while brushing my teeth.
This podcast has a global perspective. Some episodes are presented in French as well as English.

Macro Voices is pretty new to my podcast lineup and has quickly become one of my favorites. Host Erik Townsend and his guests explore all things macro in the investment world. He is deliberate in bringing on guests to explore all angles of a topic. Recently, he has been doing a very deep dive into inflation, exploring different angles on what a new secular trend could be or whether something is just a hiccup due to COVID disruptions. Excellent guests, topics and host.

The Millionaire Marriage podcast has definitely helped us service our clients when they are most vulnerable. Sometimes I’m called to serve as a sounding board for clients. We don’t ever wish for our clients to go through a divorce. This podcast has enlightened me on how to remain helpful to couples in conflict. At the end of the day, our goal as advisors is for our clients to be whole in their overall lives, not just financially. This podcast is focused on helping advisors find the wealth in their marriage. The conversations are emotionally charged, even edgy, as the hosts Taylor Kovar (a financial advisor) and Jeremy Gilliam (a marriage and family therapist) dive deep into discovering the real secret to a thriving relationship.

The Mindset Mastery podcast freely offers the wisdom of top-echelon thinkers at the cutting edge of fee-only financial planning. Host Marie Swift, founder and CEO of Impact Communications, interviews guests bringing motivational insights and actionable advice to advisors. Big theme: Advisors are limited only by what they believe is limiting. Mindset Mastery is all about positive mindset practices, neuroscience, our individual journeys of personal development and designing a life we don’t need to escape from. Each episode starts with the guest giving the theme; then comes the introductory preface. A product of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the series has been valuable [during COVID] by sharing the latest and greatest ideas when in-person connection wasn’t possible.

I’ve found the Practical Wisdom from ACP Financial Advisors podcast to be immensely helpful to my practice. Host Ken Robinson talks with certified ACP advisors as they share their stories of how they became successful, fee-only, comprehensive financial advisors. As a new advisor myself, hearing from these professionals has been helpful. I’ll often take an idea that’s shared on the podcast and think through how I can implement it into my own practice. The content truly is full of practical wisdom, so the podcast lives up to its name. I’m thankful to everyone who has produced or participated in this podcast!

Though it offers similar advice to other podcasts, Radical Personal Finance delivers the information simply and proficiently, so anyone can understand. Financial freedom is out of the realm of possibility for many people if they don’t know what they’re doing, but host Joshua Sheats makes a point to tell his listeners that financial freedom is less than 10 years away, and small changes can help you shift your mindset to a more capable financial guru. Recommended for listeners who are looking for one voice talking at length with passion and happy to give advice. Every Friday’s episode focuses on answering questions posed by readers.
