Robert Reynolds, vice chairman and chief operating officer of Fidelity Investments, won't be quitting his day job. Reynolds, proposed by New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, was one of five finalists seeking to succeed commish Paul Tagliabue. Reynolds — whose football experience includes 15 years as a college ref — and the other finalists were beaten by Roger Goodell, the current NFL chief operating officer, and Tagliabue's No. 2 guy.
